Deplorables, adorables and implorables

Now that we have seen the craggy contours of Joe Biden’s Schlock and Awwww re-election campaign, it is time to find out what Donald Trump will bring to the fight. As I watched the State of the Union last week on my DVR, I ended up fast forwarding through the last 15 or 20 minutes. I just couldn’t take any more of it. Not only was the cake he brought to the party made of the same layers of BS, he slathered a thick coating of frosting over it to hide the contents and cover up the smell. And… he says he will pay for it all by taxing 1000 billionaires $50 billion more per year. Sorry Joe, but 50 billy doesn’t go very far these days even if you somehow manage to squeeze some juice from the oligarchs.

Donald Trump now has the perfect opportunity to contrast himself with “Feisty Joe” and it is high time he seized it. At every chance he has been given since Biden was installed as President, Trump reminds us of Russia, Russia, Russia, the perfect phone call, the Mueller Report, stolen elections, and the crooked mainstream press. Granted, it is all true, but at some point he must look forward and focus on what he will do when he becomes president again in 2025.

There are two camps in this nation today. Well... actually 2.5. The first camp is those who will NEVER vote for Trump. We all know who they are. They are the basket of adorables and they are never going to change. The second is the basket of deplorables. We are the ones who voted for Trump before and we are onboard - we know what we are getting. The real campaign – dare I say, the only campaign – for the next eight months (!) is for the .5. Let’s call them the basket of implorables. They have already expressed a genuine interest in coming off the fence to Trump or actually jumping the fence to come over from the darkness to the light. They see the current situation in our nation, and they don’t like it. Some are minorities who are tired of being taken advantage of by Democrats. Some are suburbanites who are sick of the crime and the bad schools. And some are just tired of the lies and the craziness surrounding immigration.

Whatever the reason, the implorables are ready to vote for Trump. His job, if he can handle it, is to not run them away. The way he can do this is by talking about the future… what he is going to do. Everyone knows he has been wronged by the media, the Justice Department, voting officials, liberal DAs, the Deep State, all of them. That is why implorables are implorable! They know! Tell them what you are going to do about the border. Tell them how you are going to fix the deep state. Tell them what you will do to fix Medicare and Social Security. Tell them who will be on your team. Tell them how you will bring global conflict to a halt. Tell them the truth about the environment. We are starved for the truth after three years of the Biden Administration.

As voters, we have a rare opportunity to compare Trump World with Biden World. Donald Trump must look to the future while contrasting the world before Covid when he was President with the dystopian world under Biden. Does anyone want four more years of that??? He needs to do it with style and do it with grace. Trump is a funny guy who can use humor to make his points. Drop the ugliness. He has won the battle. Now he has to seal the deal. Trump's only job now is to keep them on his side for another eight months and make sure they all vote for him. From now to November, nothing else he does matters.
